Israel lottery authority Mifal HaPayis said Thursday following a complaint by a former MK that the competition inviting yeshiva students to write Torah articles is open to the religious Zionist stream as well, although there is some extra emphasis on the hareidi sector.
Forms for participation are available country-wide, including in locations within the general population.
The committee of rabbis that will judge the articles represents all streams and Jewish ethnic groups (edot) acceptable to the hareidi public, Mifal HaPayis said, and includes Rechovot Chief Rabbi Simcha Kook, who is a religious Zionist.
