The Sharon region has been on a top-level security alert for the last several hours following a suspicion that a suicide bomber has penetrated the area.

Police checkpoints have been placed at the entrances to major cities, and a helicopter is scanning the area. Special forces, including SWAT fighters, are also making their way into the area. As a result, police expect severe traffic disruptions in the Sharon area.
