Police Probe Sought against Missionaries

The Yad L’Achim anti-missionary group has filed a complaint with the police, charging that missionary groups are violating Israeli law by organizing a conference aimed at teenagers. The youth were taught how to deliver the missionary message to their peers.

Missionaries brought entertainers to the conference to attract nearly 200 teenagers. Rabbi Shalom Dov Lipshitz, head of Yad L’Achim, warned that the Israeli public is apathetic to missionaries, who are trying “to convert as many Jews as possible” in violation of the law against public missionary activities.
