Speaking to Israel National News, Hareidi Religious media personality Yisrael Eichler said that Israel has turned into "a haven for criminals." Eichler was speaking on the arrest of the Dmitri Krilik, who confessed to murdering the six members of the Oshrenko family in Rishon Lezion several weeks ago. Krilik had a record as a violent criminal before he immigrated to Israel.

Eichler said it was difficult to understand how Krilik was able to move about freely in Israel, when he was wanted for crimes in his native Russia. "Russia filed an extradition request, because he was a robbed and murdered. But apparently if an extradition request is filed for someone other than a Jew or a settler, there is no publicity value in it, so the prosecution does not rush to fulfill it," Eichler said. "This should concern us, because there are other murderers in our midst and the country remains open to anyone who wants to immigrate here."
