The Knesset Committee on Labor, Welfare and Health approved on Tuesday the second and third readings of a bill that would allow widows of Israel Defense Forces personnel to remarry and continue to receive a government pension.
The bill was authored by a group of Knesset members, headed by the National Union's Uri Ariel. It seeks to remove a ban on the continued pension from the current law.
