(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset Committee on the Rights of the Child is scheduled to meet Tuesday morning on the subject of obesity among children. Committee Chairman Danny Danon has introduced a measure to widen supervision of food sold to children in schools, community centers and youth centers,  and to set legislative standards regarding those foods. The bill would ban the placement of candy and soft-drink machines in those places.

Shortly after the start of that meeting, the committee on public petitions will hold a followup session on petitions regarding the lack of treatment for girls with eating disorders.
