As expected, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu extended a deadline for a decision on deporting children of foreign workers illegally in the country who are studying in the Israeli education system. November 1 was the deadline for the decision set three months ago, but at Sunday's cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said that it would be better to come up with an overall solution to the problem of the illegal immigrant workers rather than deal with it piecemeal.
"The solution to the issue of the children will be part of a larger plan that will resolve the issue of illegal workers altogether," Netanyahu said at Sunday's cabinet meeting.
