Israel Discount Bank chairman Shlomo Zohar has been asked to resign by the Bronfman-Schron group, the bank's controlling partners. Zohar has been at the post since 2006, when the group took control of the bank.
The group gave no reason for its request. In response, Zohar released a statement saying that "my contract is up in 2010. Beyond that I have nothing to add at this time."
