Gasoline prices in Israel jumped 5.5A% beginning midnight Sunday. The new price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps will be NIS 6.54 per liter, 35 agurot more than the old price.

The Infrastructures Ministry said that the price increase was due to a recent surge in the price of oil worldwide.
