While some have expressed concern that memorials for assassinated Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin have become overly political, the Matot Arim (“Council of Cities”) organization has a different concern. The group feels that Rabin's true political views have been forgotten, and is calling to restore his ideas to center stage.

Matot Arim, a nationalist group that promotes Jewish rights in Yehudah and Shomron (Judea and Samaria), sent a letter to Education Minister Gidon Saar asking him to recall Rabin's views in a speech at the central Rabin memorial rally in Tel Aviv. Saar is scheduled to speak at the rally, which was pushed off Friday to the night of Saturday, November 7.
