Residents of Gush Shilo in the Binyamin region announced that they plan to hold another protest march to the neighboring Arab village of El Moir on Friday. On Tuesday, marchers were attacked with rocks and clashes broke out during a similar march to El Moir.
The marchers are protesting the army's granting permission to Arabs and leftist sympathizers to harvest olives in the meager orchards next to the Jewish community of Kida. They say the real reason for the "harvesters" to be there is to cause a provocation.
They note that El Moir is the village from which came the terrorist cell that wounded Yair Hirsch in a shooting a month ago. The demonstrators declared, "We won't let Hamas raise its head [here]."
