Tzfat joined Sderot and Gaza area communities Thursday when the Galilee city installed its first bus station reinforced against missile attacks. The four-meter-long, 30-ton station was installed next to the city's open-air market to afford protection to shoppers and bypassers in an emergency.

The $20,000 station was donated by Christian lovers of Israel in Tzfat's American sister city of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mayor Ilan Shochat raised the money as a guest of the community half a year ago.
