The Eretz Yisrael Shelanu (Our Land of Israel) movement held an alternative to the official memorial observances for assassinated Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin on Thursday night in Jerusalem. The alternative ceremony also remembered the thousand victims of terror who have died since the signing of the Oslo accord signed by Rabin in 1993.

During the observance, Eretz Yisrael Shelanu co-leader Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo said the Rabin approach committed bankruptcy by promising peace but delivering terrorism. Baruch Marzel, another co-leader, noted that Rabin - who estranged Jewish residents of Judea, Samaria and Gaza in the time leading up to his murder - did a lot for the state of Israel and that violence, including murder were not the way to solve public disputes.
