The Palestinian Authority is taking control of eastern Jerusalem, warns Jerusalem city councilman Yakir Segev. In an interview with Arutz-7's Hebrew news service, Segev said, “Today there is no real Israeli sovereignty in eastern Jerusalem.”

“In most neighborhoods in the eastern part of Jerusalem, residents get their services from the PA,” Segev says. “The PA fixes the roads, and it becomes the de facto sovereign power.”

Segev blamed the government for the situation, and expressed determination to restore Israeli sovereignty to all neighborhoods of the capital city.
