The central memorial rally for slain Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin will feature a video message from United States President Barack Obama. Obama's taped speech is expected to include a call for Israel and the Palestinian Authority to resume negotiations.

The rally will take place at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv on Saturday night.

While Obama has been invited to speak at the rally, Israel's own prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has not. Netanyahu and Rabin were political rivals in the 1990s, when Rabin was killed.
