A new bill regarding the internet has passed a preliminary reading in the Knesset. The bill by MK Alex Miller (Israel Our Home) requires internet providers to inform their customers of the dangers of the web when purchasing a subscription.
According to the bill, internet providers must inform their customers about the existence of harmful websites, as well as other inherent dangers, especially to minors, from chat and other various forums. The law would also require internet providers to inform consumers of filtering options to protect users from the harmful sites.
