The Goldstone Report will be presented for discussion at the United Nations General Assembly next week. The debate, reportedly set for November 4, was requested by representatives of Arab member nations. If the UNGA endorses the report, it could be forwarded to the International Criminal Court at The Hague, to be used as evidence in a trial against the State of Israel, as well as IDF and political leaders.

The report charged that Israel committed war crimes during its counterterrorist Operation Cast Lead last winter, and "possibly crimes against humanity."  It also said the Hamas terrorist organization which controls Gaza "may have" committed war crimes while firing thousands of rockets and mortars at Israeli civilians for years -- attacks which had sparked the counterterrorist incursion in the first place.
