Israeli authorities have been informed by Brazil that they have cleared the way for the extradition to Israel of wanted alleged child abuser Elior Chen, who fled the country when an investigation was launched against him over charges that he ran a cult, posing as a "rabbi" who encouraged his followers to abuse their children.
Chen may be on a plane back to Israel as soon as Tuesday night. He will be arrested by police upon his arrival, and transferred to a holding cell in Jerusalem, where he will be interviewed by prosecutors.
