Venezuela Does Not Want Israeli Tourists

An Israeli tourist agency has suspended sending tourists to Venezuela, following the financial loss it suffered because the government of Venezuela put up great bureaucratic hurdles which resulted in the cancellation of a visit there planned by a group of 13 Israelis.

The agency's general manager told Arutz Sheva's Hebrew news journal that all the arrangements were made, including the flight tickets. In the wake of the anti-Israeli stance of President Hugo Chavez, which resulted in the closing of Venezuela's embassy in Israel, the agency was forced to call Venezuelan installations from Africa to Europe before the Venezuelan foreign ministry in Caracas insisted that all 13 members of the group travel to Jordan with enormous amounts of documentation.
