The two-day conference entitled “15 Years Since the Peace Treaty Between Israel and Jordan” continues Tuesday at the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The sessions will be in English and are open to the public.
The second day’s sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in the institute's Abba Eban Conference Hall. They will comprise academic workshops on “The peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan: points of similarity and divergence;” “Celebrating national identity: from Arabism to Jordanism;” “Conflict resolution in the Holy Basin;” “The discourse of human rights in Jordan: Between state and society;” “Civil-military relations in Jordan under King Abdullah II;” and “Social messages on Jordanian national television.”
