Abbas: I'll Quit Because of the Stalled Israel Talks

Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority told President Barack Obama of the United States on Monday that he would quit over the lack of progress in negotiations with Israel.

During a telephone call between the two leaders, Abu Mazen stressed that as long as Binyamin Netanyahu was the leader of Israel's government, there was no chance to move the talks along. He also saw no chance of progress in reconciliation talks with Hamas.
