Families of the soldiers from the Shimshon Brigade who were sent to jail, say the entire platoon supported the protest against carrying out civilian expulsions.

Last week, soldiers in the Shimshon Brigade held up a sign during an induction ceremony at the Kotel which protested the use of its forces in the expulsion of Jews from their homes. Two soldiers received a 20 day jail sentence for raising the sign and were also kicked out of their unit.
