Israeli airline Arkia announced that it is halting regular flights to Georgia, after the airport authorities there took steps to prevent Israeli planes from landing in Tbilisi. According to the Arkia announcement, the Georgian authorities "have chosen not to honor our agreement, and as a result, the Israeli Aviation Authority has not authorized further flights to Georgia."
Arkia officials said they did not know why the Georgians had taken the step.
