A group of Arabs and their Israeli supporters invaded the Jewish community of Mitzpeh Asael near Hevron on Saturday and began working in the community's agricultural lands. Soldiers arrived and arrested several of the intruders.
Among the intruders was extreme-left activist Ezra Nawi, who two days earlier was sentenced to a month in prison for assaulting Israeli police during an earlier incident in the Hevron region. Nawi was not arrested, residents of Mitzpeh Asael reported. However, residents have filed a complaint against both Nawi and another activist for trespassing.
