Culture and Sport Minister Limor Livnat apologized on Thursday for her vote in favor of former prime minister Ariel Sharon's Disengagement Plan, which resulted in Israel's eviction of almost 10,000 Jews from Gaza and Northern Samaria in 2005.
The apology came during a tour of the communities of Amatzia and Shekef, where she met with local Gush Katif exiles.
