The Supreme Court ruled Thursday morning that Israel can implement restriction on Palestinian Authority (PA) movement in Judea and Samaria to protect the lives of residents, both Israeli and Arab. The ruling makes provision for limiting vehicle traffic as well.

The ruling is the court’s response to a petition filed against a security decision by the Israeli military commander in Judea and Samaria to prohibit PA pedestrian and vehicle movement on a segment of road near the PA village of Beit Awa and the Israeli settlement of Negohot.
