      10% of J Street's Budget from Arab-American Sources

On his personal blog, former AIPAC activist Lenny Ben-David has revealed that ten percent of the budget of leftwing Jewish activist group J Street comes from Arab-American sources.

Ben-David notes that the heads of pro-Arab organizations, such as AMIDEAST are contributors to J Street and asks, “Why do so many Arabs contribute to an organization that purports to be ‘pro-Israel?’

J Street is set to launch its first National Conference in Washington, DC, on October 25th. Israeli President Shimon Peres has sent a statement of congratulations to the group but Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Michael Oren, has boycotted the event and several US congressmen have backed out after learning about the organization's postions. J Street opposes economic sanctions against Iran.
