During a Knesset debate on the Goldstone Report, Kadima MK Nachman Shai said that, "Contrary to the conventional statement that 'the whole world is against us’ it seems that Israel is now engaged in a concentrated effort against the entire world. Gradually and consistently Israel has disrupted its foreign relations with the international community in a series of confrontations the likes of which we have not seen for many years.”
Shai also said that the, "government response to the Goldstone report is too little too late. It finds it difficult to make the necessary decision to implement a commission of inquiry into Cast Lead, and every day that passes without a decision increases international pressure on Israel."
