A ceremony on Thursday will unveil the Rambam Hospital’s first secured and sheltered emergency treatment center. “We promised to protect the hospital during the Second Lebanon War, and after three years we have completed the first phase,” said Professor Rafi Be’ar, director of the Rambam Hospital.
The first stage represents the beginning of a project which ultimately will include an underground treatment facility for 1730 patients, a center for children, a cancer treatment division, a heart care facility, and a clinical research tower, Be’ar said.
