Kadima chairperson Tzipi Livni met in Jerusalem with the EU's Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana Tuesday, and told him that Western countries should not be conducting any dialog with Iran at all. The fact that the West had decided not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons was not sufficient; there should be no discussions on allowing Iran any nuclear program at all.
Discussing the Goldstone Report with Solana, Livni said that "Europe knows what it means for a country to have to defend its citizens, and we expect the EU to reject the comparison between terror and a legitimate army protecting its citizens from terror," she told him.
