Likud MK and Civil Service Minister Michael Eitan has announced he will reveal his salary slip and table of personal expenses to the public. The data will allow the public to be better informed about the work he does and the cost to the taxpayer, he said.
"I believe this is the best way to preserve public finances and strengthen public confidence in government," Eitan said Tuesday. "The public pays the salaries and expenses of elected officials, and just as any employer, the public is entitled to receive a detailed report on their activities."
The information will be made available at Minister Eitan's web site (in Hebrew) at http://www.miki.org.il .
