Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni thanked visiting Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav (Radek) Sikorski Monday evening for Poland's vote last week in the United Nations Human Rights Council against adoption of the Goldstone Report, which condemned Israel's counter-terror Operation Cast Lead in Gaza last winter. Livni told Sikorski, "Each country must decide what side it is on – the side that follows the report blindly or the side that condemns any comparison between terrorism and a country that protects its citizens."
The former foreign minister also thanked Poland for its efforts to upgrade relations between Israel and the European Union.
