Dozens of residents of southern Tel Aviv demonstrated in the Tikvah quarter Monday night, calling for deportation of foreign workers who are in Israel illegally. The residents said that the foreigners are taking jobs and affordable housing from the young residents of the poorer neighborhoods, and called on the government to establish residences in the northern part of the city, close to where they work, until they are deported.

The demonstrators warned that if the government gives in to pressure from the left and lets the illegals stay long enough, they will have children, allowing them to stay and reduce the Jewish nature of the state.
