MK Shai: Zim Deal Leaves Bad Taste

MK Nachman Shai (Kadima), a member of the Knesset’s Economic Committee, has called for an urgent session of the Knesset’s Finance Committee to discuss Zim Shipping’s debt repayment arrangement. 



MK Shai said that according to the settlement, the debt will continue to be repaid until 2020 with the implication that the public cannot redeem its investment in the company for many years. "This arrangement leaves a bad taste and the Finance Committee is required to intervene to protect the public interest," said Shai.
