Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Criticizes Ashkenazi Haredi Jews

Shas spiritual head and former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef criticized the Ashkenazi Haredi religious community saying, "they think the Torah is theirs."



In a speech on Saturday night, Rabbi Yosef said there is no sectarianism in the Torah. “Whoever speaks the truth, that is who we follow. Who cares if the speaker is Persian, Halabi or Tunisian? It does not matter. There is only one Torah and one ruling.”
