Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and Insurance Supervisor Yadin Entebbe announced on Sunday that an increase in insurance premiums for two-wheeled vehicles that was supposed to go into effect on November 1st has been postponed until November 15th.

The decision follows a request by Chairman Moshe Gafni of the Knesset Finance Committee for the ministry to discuss the public's protest against the rate hike. Motorcyclists slowed down traffic in a number of cities around the country in recent weeks to protest the increased premiums.
