Sign of the times – the IDF has opened its own Twitter channel. It says the move is just one of many meant to update and modernize the dissemination of its message. “In the past year the IDF Spokesman’s Division has made extensive use of various “New Media” platforms, thereby streamlining the delivery and improving accessibility to its information. As part of this process, the online division of the IDF Spokesman’s Office has opened a channel on Twitter. This is in addition to the YouTube channel site which began operating during the Cast Lead Operation.”
