Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is slated to speak in the American Midwest on Middle East issues later this month. Olmert, who still faces a host of corruption charges in Israel, will speak at the University of Arkansas on October 27. The free lecture is open to the public and is part of the university's Distinguished Lecture Series.
Olmert served as prime minister from 2006 until earlier this year, when he was forced to step down amid corruption allegations that dated back to his tenure as mayor of Jerusalem.
