Some 200 people attended a memorial service for IDF pilot Assaf Ramon Tuesday, a month after he was killed in the crash of an IDF F16. Rona Ramon, Assaf's mother, spoke emotionally at the ceremony, saying she should have done more to save her son, who followed in the path of his father Ilan, who was killed in the explosion of the space shuttle Columbia.
"For a month I have been angry, and I have been crying: How was it that I did not learn enough to save you this time," Rona Ramon said. "But I was unable to, and now we must part," she said.
