Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom on Tuesday expressed his grave disappointment with Turkey's attitude toward Israel in recent days and called for the Muslim nation to "wake up."
Shalom noted that "Turkey is an important and Muslim nation that has strategic ties with Israel," and said that the deterioration of relations between the two countries in the past few days is "uncalled for." Speaking at a Galilee business conference in Kfar Blum, "I hope the Turks wake up and realize that relations between the two countries are as much in their interest as they are in ours."
