The mother of an Egyptian nuclear engineer who was convicted in 2007 of spying for Israel recently filed a damage suit equalling 700,000 shekels against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Ambassador to Egypt Shalom Cohen. The woman claims mental damage as a result of her son's being recruited by the Mossad intelligence agency.

Muhamad Said Sabr was sentenced to life in prison and fined $17,000 - the amount he was accused of receiving from Israel for passing information from Egypt's Nuclear Energy Authority, where he worked.
