Israeli government agencies will soon be able to directly deliver information to the general public as part of an early warning missile alert system. American information technology company Nixle announced Thursday an agreement with homeland security company Safe City Solutions Israel to deliver messages on Israeli citizens’ cell phones via its secure text messaging platform.
Safe City Solutions Israel specializes in security design and planning for governments, cities and police throughout the world. Nixle's technologies are used in 3,000 such agencies around the world emergency services, local police departments, state police and health departments.
