Israel’s 31st victim of the swine flu died in the Afula hospital on Wednesday. A 50-year-old man who suffered from a serious chronic illness and was infected with the H1N1 flu virus a month ago, passed away at the Emek Medical Center in Afula.

Some 3,000 Israelis have been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus since it first appeared in Mexico last year. Of these, 67 have been treated in intensive care units.
