There are over one thousand outstanding cases against Israeli military personnel and politicians in foreign courts, according to media reports.

A British court was asked to call for the arrest of Defense Minister Ehud Barak last week during his visit to the UK, but the court turned down the request. However, former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon cancelled a visit to Britain recently, fearing arrest. Senior legal figures called the situation “intolerable”.
