In the coming weeks, the State of Israel will set up warning stations out at sea to alert the country of incoming tsunamis. The stations will monitor the sea level and warn of any tsunamis approaching the coast of the country.

The Mediterranean Sea is ranked second in the world for tsunami risk. At least 170 people were killed by a tsunami in the South Pacific Islands last week.
