The Judean Jewish community of Beit Hagai in the Hevron Hills celebrated its 25th birthday on Sunday.
The community, which now numbers 90 families, was established by students of the Hesder yeshiva in Kiryat Arba in memory of classmates Chanan, Kruthammer, Gershon Klein and Ya'akov Zimmerman, who were murdered on the eve of Lag B'Omer 5740 (May 3, 1980) in Hevron. The name Hagai is formed from the initials of their first names.
