Ya'akov Rosen, Israel's ambassador to Jordan, was summoned to the Jordanian foreign ministry on Sunday for a "reprimand conversation" following disturbances by Arabs Sunday morning on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The reprimand also covered Jewish construction in the predominantly Arab eastern part of Jerusalem.
According to the Jordanian ministry, the ambassador was given a letter which included an official protest and a demand to immediately stop "the repeated disturbances in occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aksa mosque."
