There is a critical shortage of protective buses for transporting schoolchildren in Yesha, the Knesset Finance Committee was told Wednesday.
Settlement Council official Pinchas Wallerstein said the director of the Prime Minister’s Bureau had committed NIS 25 million, but the money is not being transferred, apparently due to bureaucratic wrangling between ministries, none of which wants to foot the bill.
Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafne (Yahadut HaTorah) said the situation is intolerable and that he would push the matter forward via the Defense Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Office.
