An Israeli who was injured in a shooting attack near Shilo Tuesday night drove himself to a security station in the yishuv despite injuries, officials in the town said. There he received first aid, and was later taken to a Jerusalem hospital for treatment. IDF troops began a search, and are trying to determine if the shots were fired from a car or from terrorists on the ground.
Speaking about the attack, Binyamin Regional Council head Avi Roeh said that Tuesday's was the fourth shooting attack in the region over the past several months. "This attack is the direct result of the removal of roadblocks, a move that has resulted so far, miraculously, only with injuries to Israelis. But we cannot base our defense policies on miracles," he added.
