Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert insisted this week during the taping of a broadcast interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that he is innocent and will be proven so in the course of the trial on charges of fraud, breach of trust, failure to report income and forgery of corporate documents. The interview is scheduled to be aired on Monday.
"Someone has to prove that I did something wrong, and I don't think they will be able to do it," Olmert claimed during the course of the interview. The trial starts Friday morning with the reading of the indictments against Olmert and Shula Zaken, former manager of the Prime Minister's Office.
